Google Pacman!

Just wanted to say how awesome the Google Pacman doodle is. They have thrown some amazing variations of the now famous six letters up over the past few years but this interactive version is by far the finest and a great tribute to 30 years of waga waga.

Happy Birthday Pacman! Now let me get back to work on those ghosts!

Jallooyn of Mann: Beckwith's Mine 03/05/2010

Assorted images from the Beckwith's Mine and surrounding area taken on 3rd May 2010.

Beckwith's is an abandoned mine site on the western slope of South Barrule. It was worked during the mid-19th century; producing lead ore.

Further up the hill is Cross Vein Mine; known locally as Snuff the Wind.

Heading down the valley from the main mine site is a stream full of tiny waterfalls and pools.

Alongside the river that the stream joins is what appears to be a disused quarry.

Long left to nature, the mine's only inhibitants now are the armies of ants that make use of the site.
